[Purchasing] What is a "Pledge Manager"?

After the campaign, you will essentially be given a gift card to spend in an online store for the amount you pledged. There you will be able to add any additional items you want as well as upgrade your pledge. If you get extras in the pledge manager, you will be charged for the extras, plus shipping and sales taxes if applicable.

Yes. After the campaign, all backers will have the option to add items to their pledges and upgrade their reward tiers during the pledge manager.

[Purchasing] Is shipping included in my pledge?

No, shipping will be charged later in the pledge manager, based on where we are shipping your game. We are using friendly shipping options in order to provide the most competitive shipping costs we can.

Yes! Just add-on as many extra copies as you would like!

[Product] Will the game be offered at retail?

We are offering pledges to retailers, so we expect there will be some availability of the game at retail from those pledges. We plan on making the game more widely available after the Kickstarter is delivered. Note: When the game eventually goes to retail, all Kickstarter-Exclusive content will not be included.

[Product] Will Effortless be available in other languages?

Currently no. This Kickstarter campaign is only for the English version. We do not yet have a list of languages that the game will eventually be translated into, nor do we have a timeline of when they might be released. [Product] Will the expansions fit in the box?

Yes! All expansions will fit in both the base game box and the Deluxe Big-Box! Though the deluxe box will house things a little differently, all available components will fit in the box! Note: the deluxe-exclusive player boards do not fit in the base box.

No, the deluxe version of the game will be shipped in one box filled with all of the components.

[Gameplay] Is there a solo mode?

YES! Effortless features 2 different solo modes! One the simulates a competitive game and one that simulates the cooperative game. Note: The cooperative solo mode requires the Hunted expansion to play.

[Timeline] When can I expect to receive my game?

We are shooting for March 2025. We realize this is a quick turnaround, but this isn’t our first rodeo. We are doing everything in our power to make sure you are not waiting forever to receive your games.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
